JHE & Partners are working exclusively with a growing and profitable Bradford-based business as they look to recruit a finance assistant assistant on a permanent basis.
Working in a small office team and reporting into the finance manager, this role incorporates purchase ledger and wider accounts administration duties. The company is going through a transitional stage and as such, this role will grow in line with the company and therefore further finance duties will be incorporated into the role should you wish for greater finance exposure. This is an exciting time in the company's history with turnover expected to double within the next two years. Reporting in to the only person in finance this is an excellent opportunity to get involved in further month-end duties and wider accounts exposure.
Duties include:

Code and check all purchase and sub-contractor invoices

Respond to all supplier queries

Liaising with other departments to ensure all invoices are authorised in a timely manner

Check and reconcile monthly supplier statements

Ensuring relevant accreditations and insurance documentation is filed and keep up to date for all subcontractors and suppliers

Set up new suppliers and subcontractors

Weekly Payment Runs
-
Processing and checking employee expenses

Logging credit card transactions and filing receipts

Managing utilities and new connections on developments

Providing cover for admin department as required
-
Ad-hoc finance duties as required
You must be confident working in a small office environment, at times working on non- finance matters, rolling your sleeves up and working as a unit. This is a great role working in a lovely, renovated building in lovely surroundings. You must have a car to access the site.
Salary on offer will pay up to £23,000 working 35 hours, Monday - Friday 9-5 with 1 hour lunch. There's an auto enrolled pension, 24 days holiday plus bank and free parking. Please apply without delay to avoid disappointment.
