JHE & Partners are excited to be working with a fast growing business in Leeds as they look to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager. The company operate nationwide through a network of offices to become a leading player in their specialist market.
As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the processing of end to end payroll, PAYE, Ltd and umbrella companies. Applicants must be a self-starter with good organisational skills, able to multitask, plan, prioritise and meet tight deadlines. You will need to be able to work within a fast-paced environment, work well within a team and be able to communicate at all levels. Applicants must also be proactive and be confident to suggest internal improvements to help the efficiency of the Payroll department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full end to end Payroll processing for circa 1400 employees
- Liaising with directors, managers and team members with payroll queries and reporting
- Maintaining files, records and department database
- Providing support for an experienced team of two
- RTI filing end of year processing
- SMP/SSP processing
- Providing recommendations to finance manager and directors in relation to payroll processes and procedures.
The successful candidate:
- Will possess strong Payroll expertise running both weekly and monthly payrolls from end to end
- Ability to work within a team and under pressure
- Can prioritise workload effectively
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
This role is open to Hybrid working once training and handovers have been completed, though free parking is available at the Leeds Head Office.
