
JHE & Partners are delighted to be exclusively working with a local manufacturer in Cleckheaton who are looking for a purchase ledger clerk on a permanent basis. Due to retirement, this long-standing business is seeking an exceptional ledger clerk to join their team.
Working in a small team and reporting directly into the finance director, this role requires someone looking to work in a busy ledger role as part of a cohesive team. The business has done exceptionally well despite the pandemic with a strong national and European presence. As such this is a busy role requiring an accurate and conscientious candidate. You may be an experienced ledger clerk looking for a role in a progressive and successful, local company. Alternatively you may be someone with limited ledger experience that is looking for a challenging yet rewarding role.
Duties include:
- Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques
- Generating reports in information using the internal bespoke system and Excel
- Ad-hoc account administration as and when required
- Reception cover (shared with finance team)
- Hitting monthly deadlines
You will be a great communicator, able to work unsupervised as well as part of a wider close-knit finance team. The salary on offer will pay up to £23k depending on experience. There is free onsite parking, hours are 39 per week, 25 days holiday, increasing after service, company pension and death in service.
