This reputable organisation, with a strong team, is seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant to support their finance department. If you have experience in purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations and assisting with management accounts, this is your chance to contribute to a busy and professional finance team on a 12-month contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase ledger transactions efficiently and accurately
- Managing sales ledger functions, including invoicing and collections
- Reconciling bank statements to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
- Supporting the finance team in day-to-day accounting duties
- Providing administrative assistance related to accounts and finance processes
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant or in a similar finance role
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
