JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a local manufacturer in Keighley who are looking for a company accountant on a permanent basis. Working closely with the managing director, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong accounting experience with particular exposure to job costings and stock control.
Working in this small team, you will have full autonomy and responsibility across a range of accounting duties; from transactional finance, management accounts, payroll, cost management, budgeting and reporting for the business. You will analyse costs and material prices producing reports for the business and senior management team. This is an important role within the business with the opportunity to work on a number of projects identifying trends and monitoring cost variances.
Duties include:
- Overseeing purchase and sales ledger in its entirety
- Monthly management accounts, prepayments and accruals
- Run and reconcile monthly stock and WIP reports
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll for 50 employees
- Supporting the managing director, providing detailed MI
- Prepare and maintain reports which identify and investigate margin variances
- Analyse sales vs cost using standard costing
- Provide sales and stock analysis
- Play a key role in identifying cost saving measures maximising cash flow
- Closely monitor sales and analyse performance against budget
- Calculate and analyse product inventory costs and evaluate margin
- Reconcile stock account and provide calculation for stock movements

Salary on offer is up to £40,000 with auto enrolled pension working Monday - Thursday (longer days) - 37 hours per week, with Fridays off. Holiday allowance is 25 days + bank with free onsite parking.
