JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a prestigious and leading business in Leeds City Centre as they look to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join them on a 12 month FTC covering maternity cover. This opportunity will involve working five days in the office and is an ideal time to join the business as they continue to expand.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an organised and dedicated individual with extensive experience as a Finance Assistant or in a similar role. You should have at least 2/3 years of experience in both Sales and Purchase Ledger at a strong transactional level. In this position, you will gain valuable experience in all aspects of finance working in a fast-paced SME.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Minimum of 2/3 years in a Finance Assistant position or similar.
- Previous experience working in Sales and Purchase Ledger.
- Daily bank reconciliations, including multi-currency transactions.
- Credit control, cash allocations, and weekly production of debtor lists.
- VAT returns
- Working closely with the Finance Manager on debtors and creditors.
- Purchase ledger duties and responding to supplier queries.
- Assisting with facilities management
- Sales ledger support.
- Fixed asset register management
- Experience with XERO or similar.
- AAT level 3
This role involves working in a small team to ensure completion of all financial duties in a fast-paced environment. It requires someone with a strong background in Finance Assistant roles or similar.
