JHE & Partners are excited to be working with an impressive company based in Halifax as they look to recruit an experienced Finance Manager/Company Accountant. Following significant growth, this is an exciting time to join the company as they look to build brand new, purpose built offices and warehousing facilities to support further growth moving forward. This is a key role within the organisation, working closely with the Managing Director and playing a big part in the Senior Leadership Team.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Full responsibility for the finance function within the business
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting to board
- Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll and credit control
- Providing reports and analysis to support strategic decision making
- Main point of contact for third parties including auditors, banks and other external colleagues
- Taking a lead role in a variety of projects, from system upgrades to the development of the site alongside the MD
- Other duties as required in a busy finance office
This is a hands on role and as such requires someone who has operated in a similar position recently. Applicants must be confident with all aspects of day to day accounting, up to and including management accounts and all year end statutory requirements.
