
JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a great business based in Bingley as they look to recruit a Financial Controller to join their finance function on a permanent basis. Working closely with the Finance Director and taking responsibility for managing the finance team, this is a fantastic opportunity to have a real impact on a business that is growing with strong backing from the owners. - To manage all aspects of day to day finance for the business including the management of an established and friendly team of 6
- To be accountable for and ensure timely and accurate provision of all management, statutory and tax information, in accordance with the prevailing accountancy standards and tax legislation: Review and distribution of management accounts and the review of annual statutory accounts and tax computation
- To compile monthly board packs, to aid commercial/operational decision making
- To maintain an accurate 13-week cashflow forecast, ensuring the company operates with sufficient headroom – by means of effective working capital management, to ensure accuracy and consistency
- To manage the companies invoice discounting and general banking facilities
- To assist with specific finance related tasks, e.g. Management information, budgeting process, cost reduction and investment proposals, to support the Finance Director
- To provide relevant financial reports to the Senior Leadership Team, enabling them to manage budgets, obtain necessary insight and aid their commercial/operational decision making
- The administration of the company’s VAT schemes to ensure that all liabilities/claims are properly accounted for
- To ensure all payments to HMRC are paid on a timely basis to comply with HMRC’s rules and reporting deadlines
- As a member of the senior management team, engage and contribute to the operational direction of the company, to ensure that objectives and targets are met
- Identify, plan and implement departmental improvements, to contribute to the culture of continuous improvement, whilst looking for efficiencies and driving down costs
- Implement a consistent appraisal programme to enable you to manage your team’s performance objectively
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that are commensurate with the role and within your capability, as and when required to ensure the company continues to operate efficiently
