JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a great company just outside of Halifax as they look to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on an interim basis for a period of 12 months. This is a "hands on" role and will require the successful candidate to be involved in all aspects of finance, from overseeing and supporting the Purchase Ledger Clerk to the production of Monthly Management Accounts and board pack. Ideally looking for someone to join them in June, this is a busy, varied role that will provide an interesting challenge for anyone looking for their next assignment.
Reporting to the Managing Director, key duties will include:
- Full production of month end management accounts with commentary
- Cashflow management, including currency management (EUR & USD) and management of invoice financing facility
- Budgeting and reforecasting
- Authorising all bank payments including weekly payment run and monthly payroll
- Overseeing Purchase and Sales Ledger functions
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring financial controls are adhered to
- Managing year end financial audits and 6 monthly invoice financing audit
- Team management - 2 Direct reports (Purchase Ledger Clerk and Assistant Accountant)
- Assisting Managing Director with any ad-hoc reporting requirements
- Managing external contracts e.g. leases, insurances etc
