
JHE & Partners are excited to be working with a well established family firm as they look to hire an experienced Bookkeeper on a part time, permanent basis. This is a key role within the company and will work closely with the Managing Director. Recent experience in a similar role is essential, as this will be a varied and busy role, whilst offering the work-life balance of reduced hours. Ideally circa 20/25 hours per week, there is complete flexibility with regards to working patterns, however the successful candidate will need to be on site ideally.
Duties
- Full responsibility for all company bookkeeping using Sage
- Manage purchase ledger, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner
- Sales ledger and Credit Control
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Payroll for 24 full time employees
- Prepare monthly financial reports and trial balance
- Liaise with external accountant at year end
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Excellent numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload efficiently
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members across the organisation
