JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a very successful business based in Brighouse as they look to recruit an experienced, part time HR & Payroll officer on a permanent basis.
We are seeking a dedicated HR & Payroll Officer to manage and oversee the organisation’s payroll function and support the HR Director with HR administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of employee data, maintaining compliance with employment regulations, and supporting HR initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and experience to contribute to a dynamic team.
Duties
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using system for hourly and salaried payrolls
- Maintain accurate employee records and data entry within HR and payroll systems
- Collate payroll data including hours worked, overtime, bonuses and deductions etc.
- Process starters and leavers
- Handle all payroll queries and develop excellent relationships with employees throughout the company
- Support human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee record management
- Assist with compliance reporting and audit preparations related to payroll and HR activities
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll with accounting software
Skills
- Recent payroll and HR administration experience is essential
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Analytical skills for interpreting payroll data and generating reports would be advantageous
- Solid understanding of human resources principles and employment legislation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Good communication skills to liaise across departments and support staff needs
