Senior Credit Controller - Leeds

JHE and Partners are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Credit Controller to join my clients finance team based on the outskirts of Leeds. This is a permanent role and is fully office based. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining healthy cash flow for the organisation. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in accounting software.

Duties

  • Manage the credit control function, including the timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve any payment discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.
  • Prepare and send out customer statements and reminders for overdue accounts.
  • Conduct credit checks on new clients and assess their creditworthiness.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and report on any potential issues or trends.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Utilise accounting software such Sage 200 to track payments and manage accounts effectively.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of outstanding debts and cash flow forecasts.
